耶稣说:"我就是道路,真理,生命;若不借着我,没有人能到父那里去"(约14:6)

fun with friends

We are so blessed to live in an area that has so many internationally adopted children. We had a great morning playing with our friends and sharing some snacks. We are quickly approaching our 6 month mark from gotcha day. I was looking back at some of the photos and it is amazing how Cali has grown. She has become quite a little person and a strong one at that!

Good Morning

Obviously, these three have become fast friends. This is some morning time with friends and cartoons. Life is good for everyone!

Lady Bug Pajama Party!

Oh how I wish I could look so cute getting ready for bed. Sherrie brought matching lady bug pajamas for the girls. Lily wore her pajamas ALL day today.

happy birthday to me!

ok, i need to brag about my husband for just a minute. this week is my birthday and valentine's day. when we were in china adopting cali we met a family adopting their sweet sophie. sherrie, sophie's mommy and i became dear friends. they live in alabama and they are a busy family with many children. any how, greg flew sherrie and sophie to nc for my birthday and on top of it kept it a complete secret. i mean complete shock. i have never been more surprised in my life. we have shared a fabulous week end with the girls. my sweet husband knew just what would make me happy-my friends. on saturday night my husband surprised me with a party of more than 50 friends. what a week end, more than i could have ever imagined. thank you...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Who could have imagined that these Chinese Beauties that we met in China in August would be able to share Valentine's Day together. What a sweet day it was for all of us to share.

remember the red paint?

My dear friends-remember the posting of Lily painting my indoor steps with permanent red paint...well Cali is trying to catch up to her on the "adventures" Do you want to guess what is all over Cali's face? It is mascara! I can now say that if the directions say "easily washed off with soap and water"- it is true. After my initial reaction of "#*%0*!" I did put her in the bath and the mascara did really wash off! It washed off ALOT easier than the red paint! Oh well, another day in the house with two toddler/preschoolers. Cali has been home a bit over 5 months now. She has accomplished many things during these months...
She can clearly say-
My turn!
Get me out of here! (car seat)
I love you
Peter
I am coming
Gentle (after pulling Lily's hair we make Cali go back and touch Lily's hair gently)
She can-
Play on a cozy coupe
Eat any kind of chips
Eat any kind of chocolate
Climb the ladder and slide down the slide
Climb into (and out of) bed
Wrestle with Lily
Laugh at Curious George
Kiss
Hug
She is cutie pie that has let us in her beautiful world. I thank her and Jesus for the privilege of letting me be her mommy.
