Well it has been 8 months that Cali has joined our family. She continues to grow and amaze us everyday. Prayer request-
There are children from her orphanage that were on the same waiting child list as Cali and their forever families are still waiting for travel approval. If you can, please pray for all the waiting families and children. If you can imagine they are so close to traveling and now the swine flu hits. China has asked families not to travel for the safety of the children and the Chinese population. China has just been through, SARS and bird flu. There are folks out there that waited extra months a few years ago to travel because of SARS, hopefully this swine flu will not turn into another SARS. It is just heart wrenching to see the face of your waiting child half a world away and now travel is on hold. Just say a little pray, especially with Mother's Day around the corner. I know when we waited a bit longer than expected for Lily (adoption #1) I was really a sad mommy. God always has perfect timing.

How well our girls our doing! I am praying for all the children who are having to wait longer for their families due to this flu thing... including one of my neighbors whose little boy was on the same "list" as Nyah. Their process has gone so slowly and now, just weeks from travel, it is likely to be still longer. So sad.
It breaks my heart thinking about the families that are waiting. Seeing their little faces makes it even harder! Hopefully this will all get resolved real soon and families can get on with their plans to travel.
I am so thankful to have Sophie home safe and sound. I can't believe it has been 8 months!!!!

Remember approaching me on the soccer field before Cali and Lily when Olivia was just a tot? You have come a long way, Baby! Cannot believe you have had cali for 8 months! Where does the time go???

Cali is just becoming more and more beautiful as she grows! Congrats on 8 months. I'll say a prayer for those families, oh how hard it is to wait. Hope you are all doing well!
